...On The Way To Becoming A Modern Crone

I grew up through a lot of the Cold War and Viet Nam war & was a baby-hip who joined the AF. I've been an open Pagan pretty much since childhood and a solitary Wiccan since my late teens. I cut my eyeteeth reading science fiction pulp magazines in the Eshner's garage under a drop down light starting right about the time I was 8 years old. I'm over 50 and proud of it. I'm a native Albuquerquean and have lived here most of my life save for the time spent in the service of my country and a few years living & working in Red River, NM.

The biggest mystery in my life is that my first grade friend, Joseph P. Doolittle simply disappeared off the face of the earth and his family told me "he didn't want to be their son and went to live with a Spanish family in Las Vegas, NM," and then told me to not come looking for him anymore. It struck me as weird when I was 7 and still strikes me that way now.

My musical interests includes: Bobby Darin, Mel Torme', Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Jimmy Hendrix, Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Mike Batt, Yes, Rick Wakeman, ELP, The Chieftains, The Clancy Brothers, Tommy Makem, Clannad, The Medeival Babes, Harry Connick, Jr., Blondie, Josh Groban, Planxty, Steeleye Span, Renaissance, The Cherry Poppin' Daddies, George & Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Rogers & Hart, Rogers & Hammerstein, Leonard Bernstein, Strauss (both Johann and Richard), Sibelius, SJ Tucker, Meg Davis, Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez, Pete Seeger etc. & in no particular order.

Other than that, I'm just, ummm .... eclectic!

"I cannot and will not cut my conscience to fit this year's fashions. "
Lillian Hellman, letter to Committee on Un-American Activities of the House of Representatives, May 19, 1952
